Joanna brings a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oxford and an extended TEFL certification, underpinned by over seven years of delivering corporate and examination language programs, and English examinations for business and academic clients. Before teaching, she founded two businesses, co-founded a film festival, and one of the largest arts festivals in the world. Holding managerial and advisory roles in the arts, giving her first hand insight into the negotiations, project management, workflows, and communication challenges within.
Her methodology combines needs-driven needs analysis with task-based learning and the Business English Framework, delivered through bespoke one-on-one coaching and targeted group workshops. Joanna has designed and led intensives on report writing, executive presentations, and negotiation simulations—using authentic materials, live market data, and case studies to ensure measurable improvements in clarity, confidence, and client engagement.
A native English speaker Joanna collaborates closely with HR and L&D teams to align course outcomes with KPIs and ROI targets. Outside work, she enjoys creativity and outdoor pursuits, bringing learning and self improvement into her daily life too.
