Daniel is a HND Business and Finance qualified and holds a TEFL Level 5 Diploma Certification for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Daniel’s journey in teaching English as a foreign language began in 2025, and due to early successes, he is in the transition period of undertaking this on a full-time basis.
Daniel has over twenty years experience initially as a Property Underwriter working for a national Insurance company and then as a Financial Crime Officer and Transaction Analyst for over ten years within a global general Insurance company. As part of Daniel’s work for the latter, he was offered the opportunity to work in the Madrid office for two years, as a large part of his role had an EU rather than UK nexus. Coaching and mentoring of workplace colleagues is also something Daniel has been actively involved with over many years.
In line with Daniel's financial crime role, Daniel achieved a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) from the International Compliance Association, affiliated with Manchester Business School for those graduating in the UK.
Due to Daniel’s long-standing experience in the UK, and especially London financial markets, his path to teaching Business English is both obvious and natural. This is enhanced by his strong conversational approach to teaching, where the student is both put at ease and empowered to speak with confidence, whatever the current level of English they possess.
Daniel has been lucky enough to date, to have subscribed students from across Europe plus in Turkey, Brazil, Mexico and Japan. Tutored conversations with such a diverse range of people and cultures means he has learned as much from them as they do from me!
Daniel has a passionate interest in global football matched only by a passion for travelling, which to date has taken myself and family across Europe multiple times, to North and South America and to Japan.
As a native English speaker, with a neutral ‘southern’ British accent, Daniel is well-placed to tutor committed corporate students with a desire to improve their English language skill set.
