William brings a master’s degree in international relations and a 200-hour TEFL and TESOL certification with more than five years of experience delivering advanced and business level English language programs. He is currently a doctoral candidate studying public policy in Japan. Before teaching, he held an analytical and research position at a leading think tank in Washington DC, giving him firsthand insight into the parlance of high-level industry and policy consultancies and the professional culture of cutting-edge technology start-ups.
His methodology focuses on task-based learning and authentic role-play workshops while utilizing communicative language teaching to provide both bespoke one-on-one coaching and focused group learning. William has developed and delivered executive-style project presentations and technical demonstrations to some of the largest international industry associations and multinational organizations. His past projects have required him to skillfully interpret and present complex data and explain new technologies to diverse audiences while communicating measurable results with clarity and a high degree of engagement.
A native English speaker with Japanese, Russian, and German language skills, William is often engaged with industry leaders and policymakers in the United States, Japan, and Europe to convey the risks, strategies, and milestones of long-term multi-stakeholder research and development projects. Outside of work hours, William is constantly engaged in research and analysis of major international events and economic trends, subjects of his frequent publications by several global organizations.
